About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Serat: Journal of Literature and Cultural Studies is an official triannual journal of the Department of Literature and Cultural Studies, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran, West Java, Indonesia. Launched in February 2024, the open-access journal accepts submissions of articles, book reviews, short fiction, and poetry, to be blind-reviewed and considered for publication. Serat promotes writings that fall within its scope and contribute critical and creative ideas to the current discourses in literature, literary criticism, and cultural studies.
Peer Review Process
Serat: Journal of Literature and Cultural Studies operates an anonymized review process after an initial assessment by the Chief Editor. Manuscripts rejected at this stage either do not fall within the Aims and Scopes of the Journal, do not conform to the submission guidelines, contain elements that are suspected to be plagiarized, are currently under review at another journal, or do not meet the English language standard for the review process.
Publication Frequency
Serat is published triannually every February, June, and November.
